Safety Measures of Using Fire

May 14th, 2012

In the ancient times, human become civilized with the help of fire. Even after several centuries we are using fire in our everyday life. But fire not only does well for us but also can be harmful. Using fire without safety measures can cause accident. And it becomes worse when it happens to small children. Usually kids set fire from curiosity. Most of the times, they are not given attention. That may cause very harmful occurrences. That’s why it is better teaching children fire safety so they can avoid accident themselves. They may be taught about the precautions to follow while using fire. They also should be taught some escaping plan in case of fire.

Avoiding the Ouch

April 15th, 2012

Pain exists for a very good reason. If we are hurt, we tend to avoid repeating the situation that made us feel badly. Children learn to stay away from fire if they are ever burned. This is a crucial lesson, but there are easier ways to teach it. Keep matches and other flammable materials in child-proof containers, preferably in places that curious little eyes will not see. Use safety gates and common sense to keep toddlers and infants away from hot stoves and ovens. Exercise caution when cooking with barbecue grills. Visit your local fire station and ask whether they give tours for young people and teach them the basics of children and fire safety. Until a child is old enough to practice discretion, it is up to us adults to help them stay safe.

My favorite Dress

March 30th, 2012

Every day I want to wear the dress made of light cotton wool. Now also I wear cotton shirt with reddish brown color. This is my favorite color most of the time I will prefer this color only with different proportions of lining on shirts. The shirt now I have worn is my favorite shirt of all time manufactured by Giorgio Armani. This is the best company for shirts and jeans I ever heard. So, always I would like to purchase this company product. Additionally this will also make me a prestigious when I wear this company shirt. Always my friends are asking how you choose the shirts please let us to know that secret. I am the only one wearing very costly shirts in my group and so many times my friends have borrowed my shirts. But I never gave my favorite shirt that I have worn today.

Ocean Big Ocean

March 27th, 2012

If I have been asked by god that what your wish is, I will ask him I want to be a big ocean. I like ocean very much because it gives life to unimaginable and unpredictable number of living beings in it. Especially I like it regarding this only, it is giving life like this and also it will never get dirtier even if you dump all the worst wastages. It will accept all impure things and it will never become impure and always it is pure. Tides are the songs it sings every second of its life that I want to sing daily and it asks me to come to join with when I get nearer to it. Sometime I will forget myself while I was in its kingdom of tides.

Big team of streets

March 20th, 2012

The good days were passed when I was a child. Playing in streets over all night was the sweetest memories I want it one more time in my life. If I started to think about those days I will feel like a bullet train passed through my brain that you couldn’t be caught. When I was a child, I never think about anything except playing with friends lots of games in streets after 5:00 o’clock evening up to 10:00 o’clock night. We used to play cricket in streets. I was famous for my bowling at that time and I was the leader of one team that can’t be beaten by any other teams. We used to play in streets and we will have the lamp posts around the corner of roads that was our stumps we needed for playing cricket. Still I remember those days and I want to play that one more time.

Moving house can be stressful

March 17th, 2012

My family and I were moving home. I work for a multi national company and often work in different countries. There was so much to do including packing our belongings carefully without causing breakage. The last time we moved we had a few incidents. My husband forgot our precious amigo fire escape ladder. We had moved overseas and had to pay a costly courier to send it over. It was infuriating. This time round I thought I would make it my duty to be in chage of the packing and check we were all packing the essentials. I find the whole exercise exhausting as I am worried I will leave something behind.

The Fun I want ever

March 16th, 2012

Always I wanted do browsing especially watching YouTube. I always used to watch WWE and TNA  wrestling on YouTube. If I sit in front of my computer with internet connection always I wanted to watch videos on YouTube. I will never get up until my connection is having problem. I used to watch recent matches. If I finished watching latest matches always I used to watch classic matches. Now I am getting bored with latest matches because if started to watch classic matches I started wonder on the way they have fought. Even that matches were also already fixed that will make you think it was real fight. But, now a day’s wrestling is totally changed and it looks like fake. Even though it is fake, I can’t stop watching it.

Fire Safety and the Chief’s Book

March 13th, 2012

Fire Safety is at or near the top of OSHA’s many regulations for the workplace. Compliance or non-compliance with fire safety is easy for an inspector to discern, and deficiencies will lead to closer scrutiny of the workplace, in the event of an inspection or complaint. Among the items in the Chief’s Book, which should be kept in a safe and accessible place, are a diagram of the facility showing exits, fire extinguishers and shutoff locations, and a fire warden checklist. This checklist will include contact names and numbers for emergency responders; names, titles and responsibilities of designated personnel in the event of a fire, and steps to be taken when evacuation is required. All individuals should know their role, and drills should be conducted at least annually. Your Safety or Risk Management department will have procedures in place, explaining what is required. For further information, contact the OSHA website.

Sweetest chicken tikka

March 13th, 2012

One of the best tasteful dish for me is Chicken tikka. Recently on the way to home I found one hotel that’s very famous for chicken dishes. I stopped my car immediately because I am very addict to chicken dishes especially chicken tikka.I ordered it and waited for 10 min because they will prepare it for after you give the order for particular dish. With the reddish brown color and smoking hot flying over the chicken pieces it came to my table. I had water that came out of my mouth to taste that immediately. When I put those pieces of chicken in my mouth it melts like ice cream in summer season. Within 5 minutes I finished all those pieces and I ordered one more plate to fill up my stomach that asks me give me second chance to digest it.

World economy rolling over the ramp

March 8th, 2012

Now a day’s most of the countries in world are affected by the recession. Why all of these countries met this tragedy that can’t be improved very soon is because of the developed countries. These developed countries are not focusing to improve the poor and worst economical countries and they are only looking forward to improve their state. These types of selfish innovations should be avoided and they should invest in poor countries they are having the source of technology but not having the techniques to improve them. If they have been given the chance, world investment will be shared evenly all over the world and they will improve their economy. If all of the undeveloped countries improved their state then it will not like rolling over the ramp but I would be running towards the light in dark.

The Happy Days of life

March 5th, 2012

The days now I am being in my life are the one I can’t be forgotten never in my life. Once I was frustrated without a good job after finishing my studies. So, this is the daily I am passing through my life until I get married. That’s cool.

The place to be

February 29th, 2012

Egypt.. how i wish i had a magic carpet! The chaos, the unplanned hustle-bustle.. the warmth and the history!!  The very idea of the cuisine makes my stomach rumble. And the colours!! The  very life in the streets of egypt, untouched by the plastic of the future is like taking a trip back to the times that were. A mis of the middle east and the west.. the culture there is so welcoming it makes you never wanna leave it! And for a hogger like me, food can mean bliss..!!

Snake Bite

February 24th, 2012

I had a very rare incident in my life which most people are unaware of. When I was 6 years old, I was bitten by a Viper snake and I survived. It was a two year long ordeal that my parents had to go through. I had multiple surgeries and finally I survived. It was a very challenging phase for my parents and very traumatic for me. Owing to that, I could not walk for a very long time. After constant physiotherapy, I learned walking at the age of 10. Saying this reminds me of all those terrifying days and so I generally don’t talk about this to anyone.

Smile and make others Happy

February 22nd, 2012

I smile a lot and people compliment that I have a beautiful smile. My eyes are large and attractive and my friends tell me that when I smile there is an enchanting twinkle in my eyes. Many a times, I have met strangers and just smiled at them. They say they feel attracted and we become friends. By nature I am very amicable person. My basic character flows from the fact that I cannot see people in pain. So I make reasonable efforts to see people in and around me happy. I sincerely believe that a “hello”, “a smile”,” a pat on the back” costs me nothing but it makes someone’s day.

As Safe As It Gets

February 17th, 2012

A fire proof safe will allow you to be able to save valuable items in the event that there is a fire. Almost every department store carries them. You can also get them online for a reasonable price. They make having your money, pictures, and jewelry in then just as safe as having insurance. I recommend them to anyone that has not had the benefit of being able to find something durable and inexpensive to protect their goods. I didn’t realize that I could have one, but I got one and now I wouldn’t choose another method to protect my heirlooms.

Trip to our Farm house

February 16th, 2012

In the hustle and bustle of city life, I often look forward visit our farmhouse, which happens once in a quarter. It is a time to reconnect to your basics and to indulge. We have farm fresh stock of fruits and vegetables there. So going there essentially means having lot of raw stuff and enjoying. We have a Pet dog also stationed there. He becomes very excited to see us back at the farm house. Every morning, I just love putting on my track shoes and going for a jog around the farm. It thrills me to see and feel so much of greenery around. The caretaker also takes care of all our needs and makes t a very peaceful stay. Each time I comeback counting days as to when I will be back to the farm house again.

A Day in the Amusement Park

February 13th, 2012

After a hectic week, I decided to dedicate my last weekend entirely to my son. He wanted to spend a whole day in the Amusement Park and I readily agreed. Initially I thought it would be fun for him alone, but actually it turned out to be a great stress buster for me as well. We had great time with all the rides. The high up rides had their share of magic with the fright and screams of kids. We also enjoyed the Water Park inside that amusement park. The moment we took the costume, we went about splashing in the water games. It is fun at times to shed your inhibitions and be a child along with your child I look forward to more such outings with my son.

Wrong office

February 13th, 2012

Early in the morning, in a freezing office, I had been the only person not to know about the events of the previous night. I walked into the dark office, tried to unlock the door, but found it unlocked. I pushed the door opened, hoping the night watchman had been on a look out, and stretched out my hand to turn on the light. Nothing but the click of the switch was heard, and the smell. I wondered why the smell had not hit me earlier. I continued in the dark towards my desk to leave the heavy box I was carrying, with the client’s files, all alphabetically sorted. Well they were, before the box flew out of my hands as I slipped on something that just shouldn’t have been on the floor in the first place. Apart from most of the files flowing around me and gently landing on the floor, I also was on my way down. That’s when I realised what the smell, was and what the thing across the floor was. A fire hose house that had been used to put out a fire. A freak fire at that. A rounded piece of glass used as paper holder, had drawn the sun’s rays and it was a matter of time before the the papers below began to smoke. It was only by chance that the secretary was still in the office and had called the security and the fire department. Unfortunately, it was also by chance that they broke into my office before realising that the fire had not started there. But they had also left part of the fire hose running along the floor and through my window, because it was far quicker to just pull another hose.

Equal Opportunity for everybody

February 10th, 2012

We talk Human civilizations progressing each day. But still in every society there is glaring distinction of inequality. It stems from race, caste, sex, ethnicity and so many other factors. When I think of all this, it pains me a lot. Often a deserving person loses the battle in life overawed by this rising inequality bar. Given a choice to change a thing, I would like to remove this dirt from the entire world. Let each person be given a chance and let the best man win. World based on meritocracy is worth striving for. Then everybody will be geared to use their full potential for they know that their achievements are directly proportional to their efforts and learning.

Classical Music

February 7th, 2012

My association with Classical music started when my mother started Sitar classes for me. Initially I was not at all interested in it. Neither did I understand the meaning or depth of it. But as I learnt it more and more, I began to appreciate its essence. Classical music has a harmony which appeals to your soul and makes you peaceful. Compared to other forms of music, it is not easy. One wrong note disturbs it all, yet it is worth pursuing. I find solace in playing Classical music. However I don’t like Hard rock music. Since it quite loud and somewhat aggressive, I cannot associate myself with it.

Work and Travel

February 3rd, 2012

Many jobs often involve travel. Being a Sales professional, I always have been travelling in my territory. But last quarter, I over achieved my targets by 125% and was given a paid vacation at Singapore by my company. This was the first place I visited outside my country. It was a week long stay and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Being a first time foreign tourist, I did lot of sight seeing and shopping. Of course I had to carry memories back home, so I never forgot to click as many photos as possible. Since Tamil is an official language at Singapore, I had no language problems. I also got to meet a few friends currently working there.

I have had many different jobs in my life

January 29th, 2012

I have had many different jobs in my life: from working in the copy shop in Staples, to assisting an egotistical frame-maker in a framing shop, to working backstage on Broadway. Without a doubt, my favorite job is the job I have now: teaching urban students about theatre. My college students have often never been exposed to theatre; they come in expecting an easy course about a dumb subject, and leave understanding that there is an interpersonal medium for communicating across time and cultures. Moreover, it offers a great opportunity to teach them how to read with imagination, be creative, speak in front of an audience, and analyze what they watch with a critical eye. Teaching life-skills while instilling a love of art is the best job that I could possibly imagine for myself.

I would return to Russia

January 25th, 2012

If I could go anywhere in the world on vacation, I would return to Russia and take the trans-siberian railroad from St. Petersburg to Beijing, China. The trans-siberian railroad traverses an incredible variety of landscapes, goes through remarkable cities such as Moscow, Yekaterinburg, and Novosibirsk. I could easily chose between the northern route, through some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world, and the southern route, which would take me to Mongolia and China.  Without a doubt, the trans-siberian railroad would make a memorable journey. Along the way, I’d be sharing sleeper cars with locals, eating food bought from stations en route, and learning about all kinds of cultures. I’d sample vodka and borscht, and I’d get off the train in big cities to see the landmarks. But best of all, I could lay back and look out the window as I watched half the world – eleven time zones – pass before my eyes.

Always in company, perpetually alone

I’ve never really dated anyone. Sure, I’ve gone out with people, sometimes for years. But truly, unreservedly giving myself to someone? No. Not yet, at least. Perhaps I’m conceited, maybe my standards are just unreasonable, but I have yet to find someone I’d be satisfied settling down with. That isn’t to disparage the people I’ve been with in the past, it’s simply to say that we weren’t a match. Sometimes I drove them crazy with constant jokes. Sometimes they were too intent on settling down and starting a family. Sometimes we just couldn’t think of anything to talk about for months on end, and just got bored of each other. But finding someone who fascinates, charms, and mystifies me… That is what I want. And that’s what I never say, because people are far too quick to pretend to be something they’re not.

Eyes and Tongues

January 18th, 2012

My eyes are bizarre; Blue, Green, Brown and Gray all blended together in a swirl of color, a starburst patter underneath highlighting the contrasts in the shades.. Perhaps it’s the constant smile that pulls the corners up and makes them sparkle just a touch. Maybe it’s just the weird color patterns that seem to swirl and shift. Whatever it is, my eyes draw far more attention than anything else. My ability to twist words is perhaps my very best feature though. I’ve studied Communications for years, and I’ve spent most of my life manipulating and persuading, convincing and consoling, charming and berating. It’s easy to fall into a pattern though, and it becomes more and more difficult to make each word have unique meaning.

Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Fears

January 17th, 2012

Lately one particularly scary subject keeps popping up in the news, carbon monoxide poisoning. Supposedly, it is an odorless non-suspect type of gas that can infiltrate a home without detection and cause serious illness, even death! I have done some research and learned that there are some types of carbon monoxide detectors available, but most come at a pretty penny. I will have to work some over time, stretch out my layaway plans for the holidays and save up some extra money to purchase this sound investment. After all, what is more important than the safety of family and myself!

DIY Fire Retardant Spray

January 15th, 2012

It’s easy to make fire resistant fire retardant at home, for application on older pieces of furniture or home craft projects that you want to protect from possible fire. Get a spray bottle that can hold at least three quarts, and take the nozzle off. Then, pour in two quarts of hot water, and add seven ounces of borax. Follow up with three ounces of boric acid. Put the nozzle back on tightly, and then agitate the spray bottle so that all of the ingredients will mix. Use the nozzle to spray some of the mixture onto the item you want to protect. Use match or candle lighter to make sure the retardant works.

Angry Russians and Knives

January 14th, 2012

I practice a martial art called Systema. It’s filled with scary Russian men, knives, pistols, and punches to the face. And I love it. The sound of a leather sheath relinquishing its grasp on a knife brings a smile to my eye. It means that playtime has begun, and though I may go home a little bruised and perhaps a touch bloody, I’ll be better off for it. My body has never felt healthier than since I’ve started Systema. Every day I get a little more limber, a little stronger, a little quicker, and a little smarter. And a little better at throwing knives.

Waking, Working, Sweeping, Sleeping

January 11th, 2012

This has been a week of chores. I’ve spent much of the week at work, spreading the word about the most recent products my company makes on Twitter. In the free time I’ve had from there, most of the week has been spent cleaning. I’ve disposed of the equivalent of approximately 30 cardboard boxes of the sort paper comes in, most filled with useless things. But each box thrown away is one less box to worry about, and the clutter slowly begins to fade into order. Now, as I finish cleaning and organizing rooms which previously were so full you couldn’t see the floor, I wonder how it is that so many things can come to be in a single place, when none of them have any value.

Global Efficiency

WASHINGTON, DC - JULY 09: People gathered on ...

Image by Getty Images via @daylife

Many men far smarter than myself have wished for world peace, an end to hunger, and a unity between people. I believe though that all of those problems stem from a lack of efficiency. Rather than embrace what is best for everyone, and work to create an efficient system, individuals chase selfish goals, and everyone suffers for it. Wars are fought, children starve, and people suffer diseases purely because most men would rather spend their day working to get a new possession than creating a better world not just for themselves, and their families, but for everyone. It’s a nonsensical approach to life, but it’s the one we embrace day in and day out.

Dichotomies of Electronic and Acoustic music

January 3rd, 2012

I love music. I’ve listened to everything from Bach to Bar 9, loved it all. But my favorite music has to be Drum and Bass. It has a massive range of expression, from airy and cheerful artists like London Elektricity, to the dark, dissonant tones of Black Sun Empire. And artists like Apotheosis have even blended Drum and Bass with classical music, creating a beautiful blend of old and new. The music has energy, life, and power. But I get so tired of Country music. So often, it seems to be an off-pitch vocalist with a poorly tuned guitar who sings about how much more he cares about his dog than his wife. While I occasionally find a Country musician who is unique and talented, to me the vast majority of the music sounds like the same depressed drivel.

Most People Would Never Guess the Following

December 17th, 2011

Most people do not know that I was fat in elementary school. Since then I have had a low self-esteem. I have problems accepting the fact that I am attractive. I also have trust issues due to my low self-esteem. I cannot remember most of my childhood. I wish I was in a relationship. I have deep problems I live with but would rather not acknowledge. I am an atheist who has not told her religious parents because she is afraid. As of right now I have zero close friends and I have no social life. I have a scar on my left ring finger from when I nearly accidentally cut off the tip of my finger.

My eyes intrigue people and also make me seem approachable.

Looking Forward to Watching Trebek

December 9th, 2011

I look forward to watching Jeopardy six days of the week. Jeopardy is my favorite television show. I like the host. His name is Alex Trebek and I love his personality. I have a teensy bit of a secret crush on him. I would very much like to meet him someday. I feel that I can help keep my mind sharp by watching Jeopardy often. I have trouble remembering things. Watching Jeopardy makes me feel like I am honing my memory skills. I do not always get the chance to watch Jeopardy because I am busy doing other things. One of my biggest pet peeves is people interrupting me when I am watching Jeopardy.

A Typical Weekend

cuisine avec salon, kitchen with living room

Image via Wikipedia

This past weekend was quite busy. Friday evening was relaxing. I got to come home read a book, watch television, drink  some hot chocolate, eat some cookies and get to bed early. The following morning I woke up early to clean my room. I made my bed and made sure everything was tidy. Afterwards I moved to the living room. I dusted all the furniture and swept the floor. I helped clean the kitchen. My mother’s cousin, my aunt and uncle, my cousins, my sister’s godparents and their children all came over to visit. We went out to the backyard and had a barbecue. It was fun but kind of hectic because there were so many kids. The following day I slept until eleven in the morning. I got out of bed and made pancakes. I tidied the house a bit and got to test out a new recipe for dinner. After dinner I fell asleep while using my laptop.

A Change for the Better

December 2nd, 2011

If I could change one thing about the world I would choose to make every single person on this world the exact same skin color. Then maybe people would stop discriminating against people simply because of the color of their skin. This type of discrimination has caused all kinds of problems in the past. If everyone had the same color skin then maybe people would be judged by their thoughts and actions rather than their appearances. I get the feeling that this world would be a much better place if everyone could get along, once they realize that we are all human and not that different than one another.
